Heron Dance

Sometimes , its just a matter of being in the right place at the right time.

I took these shots of  a ‘Great Egret ‘ while I was waiting for the boat to leave on a Whale Watching Tour off the Gold Coast.

I had my camera and 400mm lense hanging around my neck all ready to go.

When this beautiful bird flew up and landed on a tree by the river bank. I fired away on motor drive and knew straight away I may have got something special.
